The change continues
This year too, the IFAT in Munich lived up to its claim of being the most important international trade fair for water and raw materials. 3,300 exhibitors – a new record. Today, 48 percent are international companies. This is not surprising, because water and environmental technology are increasingly focused on beyond national borders. This development is particularly true to our concerns. All in all, the great interest in our booth and our products exceeded our expectations.
Powerful products for a clean future
Following a great amount of development work, we presented FILCOTEN® one, a world premiere in innovation: the first monolithic drainage channel for dynamic loads made from FILCOTEN® HPC, a highly stable high-performance concrete. The channel system is distinguished by a variety of innovative features (see video at the end of the article) in addition to being extremely robust. We will provide detailed information on FILCOTEN® one in a separate article.
To us, the second big step at the IFAT was to publish our environmental performance report for FILCOTEN® one. This means we are disclosing our environmental indicators on greenhouse gas emissions, primary energy and fresh water requirements. The topic sparked great interest within the industry and was a real conversation starter – after all, this kind of transparency enables builders to improve the environmental performance of an entire construction project.
