Paper chaos BIM is intended to minimize the paper chaos and proneness to errors when it comes to the planning and execution of construction projects. If it supports planners and architects, we support it.

There must be an easier way

As a partner of planners and architects, we support any measure that simplifies the planning and execution of construction projects. BIM offers this potential. In theory, BIM enables to easily plan, store and access the relevant technical data of all components within a virtual project. Consequently, it is no longer necessary to exchange information on paper, which is often cumbersome to coordinate. This kind of optimized information flow would be significantly less susceptible to errors and can be helpful for object maintenance at a later stage.

We’re leading the way

Since BIM offers a positive impulse for the future of the construction industry, we have also been focusing on this topic. We have looked towards the competence of experts in England to improve our own skills, as they are already a step ahead regarding the implementation of BIM. At BG-Graspointner, we even trained our own BIM specialist.

Our data is ready – are you?

The BIM data for almost our entire product range has been created and is available for download. Our data is recommended by the ASFINAG, the federal institution for planning, construction, operation and maintenance of highways in Austria. We use the software Autodesk Revit to create the files. However, programs supporting the OPEN BIM standard (IFC) are also capable of reading the files and integrating them into planning processes.

The BIM data is downloaded as a bundle including detailed instructions, and covers all BG-Graspointner products. The files are constantly updated, and our registered customers are notified of these updates.

Our technical service team is happy to answer any of your questions regarding BIM in connection with our products.
